Authors: Heng Lin
Categories: Journal

Abstract - This study discusses the potential extension of collaborative music in pedagogical settings, focusing on the diversity of musical repertoire through the inclusion of original and arranged works that incorporate traditional folk music. Drawing on the combined analyses through theoretical, musicological, and performative lenses, this article analyzes two works, focusing on the aspects of world music that would appeal to increasing awareness of traditional music elements in music classrooms. Finally, this article shows the role of musical interpretation in reading the performative and educational contexts of each work.
