Abstract - Music therapy has undergone various development methods in different countries, depending on the psychological and music-related philosophies prevalent in each. The example of Eastern music therapy, as practiced in China, has a rich history that can help us understand the philosophical aspects of the interplay between music and psychology. This paper presents a literature review compiled from Chinese academic sources and texts in the field of music therapy. The current research focuses particularly on the history, intervention methods, and therapeutic mechanisms that have been recently practiced in China. The paper aimed to help understand and interpret the role of Chinese music therapy in modern society. The scope of the literature review collection can help predict future trends in Chinese music therapy, particularly in its development and integration into modern methods.
